History of Music Poster
1. Origins
The origin of music posters were hand drawn/written to advertise for local performances and musicals.
A wier audience was discovered in a relation to the advert of lithography which was progressed in the late 18th century which was all in relation to art/graphic art. Lithograph changed the advertising media and art 'world' as it allowed images to travel in ways they didn't e.g. books, prints and posters.
2. First Golden Age - Belle Epoque
This was the era were artistic sort of posters were made.
5. Nowadays - Access
Due to editing access, software. Editors are able to produce different, complex posters. Here are some examples of magazine posters. You can the contrast due to font, image, colour and composition.
